About the ARTC Major Projects Social Club

The Major Projects – Hunter Valley Social Club was formed in 2010 as we received commission from the vending machines in our office which accumulated to about $1,000. Employees at 20 Newton Street requested for this commission money to be spent in a relaxing, social way, away from the workplace. A Committee was appointed and its initial task was to look into ways of using this money. The Committee decided to hold a formal Ball, and make it a Charity Ball so as to benefit others.

During the year the Social Club Committee initiates other Events such as breakfast BBQ’s, Slice Drives, ‘Winter Warmer’ Lunches and Jackpot Jokers, and of course a Christmas Pot Luck Lunch for the silly season.

Supporting Staff Member’s endeavours, such as our Movember fundraising competition, is all part of our Social Club’s way of creating some camaraderie in the office.

The Social Club have purchased a marquee and table (which is now available for staff to use off site) to make our BBQ chefs more at ease, and will in the future purchase some more appliances to make our workplace more comfortable.

The Committee strives towards presenting a range of events for our Staff to enjoy, and encourage everyone in the building to participate.
