Auction Terms and Conditions

ARTC Charity Ball Online Auction

1.
     Any eligible bid of an Online Auction Item is deemed acceptance of these terms and conditions.

2.     The auctioneer (“Auctioneer”) is the Major Projects - Hunter Valley Social Club. Email: hvmpsocial@artc.com.au

3.     The Online Auction will conclude at noon Thursday, 29th March 2012. (“Auction Close”)

4.     Auction items will have their bidding continued offline following the close of the online auction. The highest online bid at auction close will become the first bid of the night at the invitation only charity event held at Newcastle Panthers on Friday 30th March 2012.

5.     Online bidders will not have the opportunity to make any counter bids unless present on the night.

6.     Online bidders who are still the highest bidder at the close of the ARTC Charity Ball held Friday, 30 March 2012 will be deemed Successful bidders (“Winners”).

7.     All Winners will be notified by email no later than 5pm, Monday 2nd April 2012.

Eligible bids

8.
     Auction bids are open to anyone with an Australian postage address.

9.     To be an eligible bid, the bid amount must be higher than the highest bid amount of the item at the time the bid form is submitted.

10.    It is the Online Bidders responsibility to check the item regularly to determine if they have been outbid.

11.     Bids may only be retracted if a data entry mistake has occurred when submitting the form (ie $2500 instead of $250). Bid retractions can only be submitted by written email to hvmpsocial@artc.com.au. The Auctioneer will review the bid retraction and notify a decision by return email.

12.     All eligible bids are deemed legal binding obligations to purchase the item should they remain the highest bid at Auction Close or close of the ARTC Charity Ball.

Payment

13.
     All Winners must pay for their Items by 5pm Friday, 6th April 2012.

14.     Acceptable forms of payment for Winners are cheque, cash or bank deposit. Details will be provided in the winning notification email.

Postage

15.
     Winners who reside within Newcastle or the Hunter Valley have the option to pick up the winning item from 20 Newton Street Broadmeadow OR have the item posted to them at an additional cost. Winners who reside outside of these areas will be liable for any postage costs incurred to deliver the item to their specified postage address. The postage costs are based on Australia Post’s standard registered item costs for parcels. Postage costs will be advised by email by the Auctioneer with payment required before the item is posted.

17.     The Auctioneer will endeavour to deliver the Items within a timely manner.

18.      In all bidding matters, the Auctioneers decision is final.
